The Marketing Manager/Sales Coordinator also works closely with the Ad Operations to incorporate weekly/monthly traffic reports as well as post-sale learning into renewal plans.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<p>Perform competitive set, market, and audience analysis<br />
Create proposals for blue chip advertisers<br />
Participate in brainstorms to develop unique ideas for each advertiser<br />
Act as client services for sold campaigns; working closely with the Development and Tech teams to ensure proper launch and implementation<br />
Create post-campaign reports<br />
Manage and track ad campaigns<br />
Maintain relationships with business clients, partners, and sales representatives<br />
Manage sales records and database<br />
Related experience from summer employment or internships is a huge plus.<br />

<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>
<p>Ad Operations Manager works within the Sales/Marketing group to actively manage the full waterfall of revenue sources, from direct sold to programmatic and everything in-between. Our site uses a range of platforms allowing access to a variety of media types, primarily display, and video which are most often very tightly targeted to specific content areas. This role requires a detail-oriented, creative thinker who is motivated by results. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending time working with multiple vendors, performing on-going analysis of client campaigns, staying up to date on industry advances, maximizing third party yields while interacting with both the in house sales team as well as their client’s agencies directly.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>· Increase campaign ROI by determining the best campaign set up and optimization strategies</p>
<p>· Oversee and actively implement campaign setup and optimization</p>
<p>· Drive net yield and total dollars from third party sources by utilizing multiple programatic platforms</p>
<p>· Implement, drive, and oversee approach to testing and QA of ad serving technologies as well as specific creative executions.</p>
<p>· Maintain knowledge of media technology buying platforms and analytics tools</p>
<p>· Assist in the evaluation of new tools, opportunities or enhancements for integration efforts to improve the value of the marketing dataset</p>
<p>· Identify opportunities and deliver recommendations to the sales team</p>
<p>· Work independently with guidance from management regarding overall goals and objectives</p>
<p>· Oversee campaign analysts</p>
<p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p>
<p>•Manage relationship with outsourced ad operations vendors and/or internal traffic team.</p>
<p>•Enforce policy &amp; best practices on process and workflow; ensure adherence to lead-times / ad specs.</p>
<p>· 2-3 years minimum experience in display/videos campaigns</p>
<p>· Experience in advertising network and/or direct publisher with advanced analytics and optimization capabilities</p>
<p>· Sound understanding of ad-server technologies i.e. Doubleclick</p>
<p>· A strong customer service mentality</p>
<p>· Ability to interpret campaign performance, including media, creative and landing page, while providing creative insights and solutions to meet campaign challenges</p>
<p>· Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills</p>

The ideal candidate has been there/done that and is able to leverage their existing relationships.<br />

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Execute, update, and revise strategic growth plan, working closely with Editorial, Tech and Management teams.</li>
<li>Drive to be a metrics-driven team member using analytics to aggressively optimize all activities, from product development to content creation.</li>
<li>Continually advance and deploy SEO best practices. Work in conjunction with the editorial and technology teams to maximize efforts in this area.</li>

<p><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1-2 years of experience in online marketing, audience development and Web analytics – preferably using Google Analytics (summer jobs and/or internship experience count). Understanding of the digital media space and web analytics including customer segmentation, path analysis, real-time analytics, multivariate testing, and traffic reporting, as well as the impact of individual metrics on one another.</li>
<li>Experience working in an editorial organization with daily interaction with editors and writers.</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial instincts and hands-on attitude. Eye for the big picture, but also an enjoyment of day-to-day operations.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills – the ability to work closely with creative teams, influence, and educate on digital marketing principles.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think critically and deliver recommendations based on data and analysis.</li>
